Mumbai's long distances and busy local trains mean the "right" tutor for a family in Thane or Navi Mumbai may not be the same as one for South Mumbai — proximity genuinely matters for home tuition here. We factor in your exact area within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) when suggesting a home tutor, while online tuition removes the distance question altogether.
Families in Mumbai come from many school backgrounds, so we ask which board your child studies under — CBSE, ICSE, the Maharashtra State Board or another — and which languages (English, Hindi, Marathi) they need support in, before suggesting a teacher.

You can also ask for entrance exam preparation (Sainik School AISSEE, Navodaya JNVST, RMS CET, AMU, BHU) and hobby & language classes such as dance, music, art and chess. Availability depends on the teachers registered for your class, subject and area.
For home tuition in Mumbai, travel time can decide whether a schedule is realistic. A teacher who lives close to you can make daily or alternate-day classes practical; if not, many families use a mix — home tuition on weekends and online sessions on busy weekdays. Choose Both as the mode if you want to keep that option open.
Share your locality (for example the suburb or station nearest to you), preferred days and time on the form so timings can be matched with the teacher.
If a suitable home tutor isn't available near you, or you prefer learning from home without travel, online tuition is an alternative — the teacher and student meet on live video, so your exact locality in Mumbai matters much less. Read more on our Online Tuition page, or pick Both as the tuition mode while registering.
Tell us the class, subjects, mode (home, online or both) and timing you need. Registration is free, and there is a free demo before you commit.
